We are consigning Roy because his owner is fighting with advanced age and declining health, which - unfortunately - makes him not a good fit anymore. So, he wants him to go to a good home where he will be used and enjoyed. This horse is completely sound and has never had any health issues or injuries. He rates cattle well, he is easy to catch on, and easy to heel behind. He can run, is strong at the saddle horn, and can face. As a heel horse he gives you a nice shot and parks it. This is a really nice horse with a good handle, he’s very broke, but he can get fresh with time off. He is not counterfeit about it. | REMINGTON 2015 GRADE Palomino Gelding. This nice, stout gelding stands 15.2 hands, wears a size 2 shoe, and is built to go all day. He is easy to catch, saddle, and haul. He’s good around dogs, flags, farm equipment, and he goes nicely on the horse walker. He has been used primarily as a ranch horse to sort and tag calves and check cows. He also has a good start in the arena loping circles and tracking the roping dummy. He was previously purchased at the Billing Livestock Sale, but is too much horse for our 12 year-old daughter. Although he is versatile and a fast learner, he is not recommended for a beginner; he’s best suited for an experienced rider who can give correction when needed. With his size and endurance, he can continue to be used as a ranch horse, be added to a pack string, or finished out as a heading horse. Vet exam recently completed. No soundness issues. We started him out under saddle and he has been a dream to work with. Tex is going to be a great all around horse. He has a solid foundation on him that allows him to go anywhere with his career. We pony colts on him, move cows, trail ride him in a group and alone and he is always willing to work no matter the situation. We have put him through our rigorous obstacle course, and he did amazing. Tex has been down busy roads and passed big trucks, and doesn't even lift his head. He will cross bridges, tarps, and creeks. We have snapped the whip standing up on him and also shot clay birds off his back with a shotgun. He will stand for clipping, baths, and the farrier. We have him started riding bridles and he is very quick about learning. He will collect up and be soft in the bridle. JUNIOR 2010 GRADE Sorrel Gelding. We can all appreciate a handsome sorrel! 14.3 hands. Junior has been used on all aspects of our guest ranch; gathering horses in the morning, leading trail rides in steep country, flagging horses, moving cows on pasture and in the arena, he’s done it all for us! Junior is smooth and has an agreeable nature. Tarps, flags, and rain jackets are no bother to him, he is brave and confident. Junior is laid back on the ground and forward moving under saddle with a light mouth and responsive body. He’s super fun on the trail and always has his ears pricked to see what’s around the next bend. He is in his winter woolies now but sheds out into a stunning red with a luscious mane and full tail. In our large herd he takes care of himself well and stays out of trouble, an easy keeper and easy to be around. We enjoy riding him any day of the week, cold early mornings and after time off included, he rides off just the same. He loves people, is easy to catch and really wants to please, but he’s a little too much horse to make it in our guest string, and we’d love to see him go somewhere where he can be ridden consistently with soft hands. STEEL MY HEART 2010 GRADE Gray Mustang Mare. Check her out! Steel My Heart is hardy, strong built and nice looking! We enjoy her responsive and forward moving nature which makes her eager to get a job done on while being extremely smooth to ride. She has been a low-maintenance member of a large herd, getting along well with other horses and staying out of trouble. In 2016, she was the Mustang Magic Champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo with Wylene Wilson-Davis. You’ll have to watch the video of her run, it’s an impressive feat for a young mustang! Since then, she has been ridden lightly and therefore best suited to an experienced horseperson. MUFASA 2016 GRADE Palomino Belgian Gelding. Stands a whopping 17.3 hands, weighs 1900lbs! Mufasa definitely lives up to his name! He’s big, he’s gorgeous, and incredibly smart. He’s BROKE BROKE BROKE but would be best with an intermediate or very confident rider. He goes in the direction you point him but he is all power! He is soft in the face, stands to tack up, and stands for mounting. Mufasa has been used for trails, moving cattle, and has some light barrel work. He is NOT BROKE TO drive. TIN MAN – 2011 GRADE Bay Draft Cross Gelding. Neat looking draft cross gelding that stands 15.1 hands. He is a cool horse that is a lot of fun to ride. LT 2013 GRADE Dun Gelding. This is a horse for anyone. If you have ranch chores too do or the kids and wife need something to take on a trail ride, you’re covered with LT. Very well-mannered gentle gelding that is easy to get along with. Well broke with a soft old fashioned one hand neck rein. Stops and backs when asked. Been used for cattle work branding, doctoring, sorting etc. Travels good outside and goes wherever you ask him. Good in rougher country and water or obstacles don't bother him. | TINY 2018 GRADE Bay Draft Cross Gelding. Tiny is a tested, tried and true draft cross ranch gelding. He has done all facets of ranch work, roped bulls, doctored cows, and calves will hold rope tight and has been used regularly as a ranch gelding for the past year as my go-to horse, and I spend almost all day every day in the saddle usually cowboying. You will not show Tiny anything he has not already seen. Not only is Tiny a ranch gelding he will impress anyone in the arena. He gallops collected circles, has a big stop, will spin, is soft in the face works off leg pressure. He is not ready for a beginner yet but has the temperament that he likely will be with a little more time but should be suitable for an experienced intermediate rider. Tiny is honest and knows what a long day of work is. Tiny is a once-in-a-lifetime horse. We've used Tex on our ranch and out on the trails. We have roped and tagged calves on Tex. Tracked the heelomatic and he handles a rope nice. He will watch a cow and is an all-around horse. Tex is easy to catch. Loads and hauls with no problem at all. Stands great for the farrier. We have laid Tex off for long periods of time and he has been the same horse. No buck. | CR JACKS PRETTY GIRL 2011 AQHA Palomino Mare x Two Sparkin Jack x Shiney Spark Two out of Smokeys Gray Dawn x Smokeys Gray. Sister” a.k.a. CR Jacks Pretty Girl is a stout, durably-made horse standing at 15.1-15.2hh, weighing 1200+lbs. She has a lot of bone and good feet, wears an 0 shoe. Sister is primarily a head horse/barrel horse. She’s a big, powerful mare with a lot of “go,” but she’s not crazy. We are consigning Sister because her owner is fighting with advanced age and declining health, which - unfortunately - makes her not a good fit anymore and his granddaughter who ran barrels on her has moved away to school, so he wants her go to a good home where she will be used and enjoyed. She was sitting in pasture for quite some time due to this, but she’s been in training for a tune-up and fitness with my assistant trainer for the last 60 days. This horse is completely sound and has never had any health issues or injuries. She does has a large sorrel-colored birthmark over her left flank. She is a nice mare who is quite broke; she had no buck at all when we saddled her up for the first time with a lot of time off and we didn’t warm her up at all. She’s been ridden outside and is not spooky or reactive. She’s gentle, but because she is very forward I would say she’s not a good fit for a timid rider. We started him out under saddle and he has been a dream to work with. Tex is going to be a great all around horse. He has a solid foundation on him that allows him to go anywhere with his career. We pony colts on him, move cows, trail ride him in a group and alone and he is always willing to work no matter the situation. We have put him through our rigorous obstacle course, and he did amazing. Tex has been down busy roads and passed big trucks, and doesn't even lift his head. He will cross bridges, tarps, and creeks. We have snapped the whip standing up on him and also shot clay birds off his back with a shotgun. He will stand for clipping, baths, and the farrier. We have him started riding bridles and he is very quick about learning. He will collect up and be soft in the bridle. Tex will also drive in the cart on the road or through the woods and does great with both. Tex will catch peoples eye with his unique color and his two blue eyes he has.
